We are looking for a Program Buyer for a location in Toluca.

What can you look forward as a Program Buyer:

• • Participate in the APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning) process with suppliers
  • Sourcing phase quotations: Send information to each commodity buyer, including volume, drawings, SOP (Start of Production), and the deadline for receiving quotations or cost estimates. Obtain quotations on time and in the required format. Open the corresponding case in the purchasing department’s designated tool.
  • New project quotations: Coordinate with the commodity buyer on sourcing decisions and update the required documentation in the corresponding system. Prepare comparative prices and have an assertive analysis for nomination; logical thinking is needed to make the best decision. Get the cooperation of all areas to achieve timing.
  • Project management after the nomination phase: Manage the project after supplier nomination, participate actively with the team, informing on time for any change.
  • Purchase of samples during different project phases: Ensure project launch according to customer timing requirements, guarantee component availability
  • Preparation and issuance of purchase orders for components and tooling

Your profile as a Program Buyer:

• Preferable engineering degree and 3 years’ experience as a buyer in automotive industry for direct material.
• Knowledge in different production processes like forging, plastics, rubber, stamping, surface protection or other commodities.
• SAP knowledge for purchasing tasks.
• Fluent English communication skills for negotiations and day-to-day business activities.
