ME Painting Engineer

About the Team

We are looking for a new colleague with expertise in KTL/Painting in the Manufacturing Engineering Department at our Zhangjiagang, Jiangsu, China location.

What you can look forward to as ME Painting Engineer:

• Understand plants KPI like OEE/cycle time/FTT/Numbers of operators. Responsible for normal production technical support, quality issues/FTT, etc.
• Support for equipment maintenance/pre-acceptance/final acceptance, ensuring every technical goal is achieved.
• Technical lead for critical problem-solving related to painting in the plant.
• Technical lead for wastewater/VOC problem-solving to meet and anticipate legal requirements.
• Conduct process documentations like PFMEA/CP/flow chart/WI/Error proving/change over, etc. (application) based on technologies.
• Preparation of routings incl. cycle times for product calculation based on technologies.
• Together with experts and plants, work on technical improvement potentials and optimize the current process.

Your Profile as ME Painting Engineer:

• Bachelor's degree or above. Min. 3 years of professional experience in the automotive sector at the production side for the painting process or experience in a painting line manufacturer.
• Deep understanding of KTL and WWT processes. Proficient in CQI-12.
• Fluent in English and Mandarin, and capable of fluent communication and documentation in English.
• Skilled in using MS Office, SAP, and CAD.
• Strong communication and matrix skills with team spirit and a global view. Strong entrepreneurial thinking and acting.
• Potential to lead a small production team for the painting area.
