Internal IT Specialist

The primary role of IT Administrator is to be responsible for supporting, administering, and implementing desktop, server, and network infrastructure as they relate to hardware, software, Operating Systems, and virtualization for the global domain function IT through daily operational assistance, in order to support and fulfill requirements of internal and external customers. This position will be based in the ZF Japan Kannai Office in Yokohama.

What you can look forward as Internal IT Specialist

• Manages regional delivery of IS services.  Has operational responsibility for infrastructure components of server and network environments:
  • Consulting Service Level Requirements, Setting measures and service targets and implementing and managing Service Level Agreements and reporting Key Performance Indicators
  • Implementing infrastructure monitoring, developing Availability plans, managing Service Level Targets
  • Ensuring that infrastructure capacity meets current and future business requirements
  • Planning and managing Business Continuity Plans and Recovery Procedures
  • Responsible for implementing global service delivery strategic action plans and active participation in transformational process design
  • Operate and administer onsite IT infrastructure including servers, storage, local networks, phone systems, etc.
• Installs, configures and supports business and engineering workstations and servers with appropriate operating system and engineering applications:
  • Supports implementation of engineering systems according to the Business Excellence and Current Product Excellence Roadmaps and engineering systems strategy.
  • Evaluates system specifications, input/output processes, and working parameters to ensure hardware and software compatibility. 
  • Manages system documentation
  • Manage variety of workplace devices (desktop, laptop, tablets, phones, ..) and department devices, e.g. printers, media technique, etc. and related software to ensure stable performance.
  • Manage the lifecycle of a workplace, as well as asset management and procurement.
• Project Management:
  • Manages local business and engineering systems related projects and/or outside resources within agreed timing and budget.
  • Performs make versus buy analysis to find the best solution to satisfy business needs
  • Prepares business cases to support purchases and implementation efforts
  • Develops systems specifications and implements complex computing environments
• Troubleshoots system problems:
  • Gathers information for problem analysis
  • Defines tools and tasks and perform system monitoring for hardware, and application performance
  • Supports IS Engineering equipment by managing disk, memory and processor requirements and recommending and implementing improvements.
• Security:
  • Ensures conformance to backup and disaster recovery plans
  • Manages user accounts and access controls as defined by process and/or system champions

Your profile as Internal IT Specialist

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited university/college with a major in information systems or engineering is desirable.
• 5 years or above experience in Information Technology ore related field as well as experience in the automotive industry.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills such as proactive, ability to organize, lead, monitor, adjust, and complete project on-time within budget.
• Fluent in Japanese and English (Oral, Written communication)
