ADAS Engineering Manager - Function and Algorithms

 Main Accountabilities, responsibilities and deliverables

 Lead (Line) Discipline for the ADAS Function and Algorithm development team in Japan including personnel competency development
- Responsible for Algorithm development activites in Japan
- Manage sub domain / discipline related processes and methods 
- Responsible for constructive interaction with algorithm development teams at other locations and also for the interaction between different discipline teams

- Ensure high quality output from ADAS engineering teams / engineering quality
- Drive engineering quality within the projects 
- Coach and support problem solving methodologies including quality of problem resolution
- Ensure quality of work products within the projects
- Manage continuous improvement of engineering activities
- Ensure projects run as per defined EEPM and SPICE guidelines
Organization management responsibility
- OP planning, managing project budgets against headcount
- Change management, budget tracking

 

Required skills and experience / main competencies

Bachelor/Master Degree/PhD in Software, engineering electronics, or computer science, physics or comparable   
10+ Years experience related to Project & Team Management  
10+ Years strong leadership, communication, negotiation and conflict management skills
Experience with engineering development process including ASPICE, ISO26262, CMMI, etc 
Japanese to communicate with local customers and English to communicate with global development team
