Sustainability Lead Engineer (m/f/d) - Electronics

The ZF R&D Sustainability team within Central Hardware Product Engineering is globally responsible to drive R&D relevant sustainability topics. In this specific role you will take care of the sustainability relevant activities in development projects of product lines and on the other hand you will be the interface between product lines and ZF R&D Sustainability. By that dynamic set up we will ensure best knowledge growth and best support of projects to fulfil ZF and customer targets towards a more sustainable future.
 
Your Tasks:
•    Leading sustainability relevant actions, such as sustainability workshops, as “member” of multi-domain project teams to ensure sustainability aspects for CVS products through all project phases from the first idea to introduction into mass production;
•    Regularly reporting the project relevant sustainability KPIs and status to Project Management and as well to ZF R&D Sustainability team;
•    Responsible to build up and maintain sustainability specific know how, such as decarbonization levers. Additionally, to create and maintain R&D relevant guidelines and tools; 
•    Being single point of contact between ZF Sustainability Team and Product lines in regard of sustainability activities; 
•    Drive / support in close co-operation with our product lines multi-domain sustainability workshops to ensure that strategic product line targets will be met;
•    Calculating or supporting Product Carbon Footprint calculations based on customer requests and present results internally and externally; 
•    Acting as multiplicator between different domains and product lines via the central ZF Sustainability organization to ensure knowledge exchange and to grow maturity;
•    Driving and supporting of process improvements in product engineering.
 
Your profile:
•    Professional experience and proven track record as a Lead Engineer or experienced Engineer;
•    Minimum of three years of experience in product engineering and automotive industry with electronics background;  
•    Graduated in engineering science, preferably in electronics or mechatronic; 
•    Fluent in English is a must, Polish is a plus; 
•    CAD (ptc Creo), PLM (ptc Windchill), or related;  
•    Knowledge in LCA software such as LCA for Experts is a benefit;
•    As a Sustainability Lead Engineer, you are a team player who can work in a distributed and fast evolving environment and have strong communication skills including presentations to senior management;
•    You are highly organized with the ability to prioritize and track multiple tasks and projects to a successful completion.
