Job Description

What you can look forward to as a Manager Sales & Operations Planning Region Europe (f/m/d):

  • Lead and drive the regional Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process within the SAP IBP environment, ensuring alignment of demand, supply, capacity, and inventory.
  • Own demand planning process in the Region.
  • Develop, implement, and continuously improve S&OP strategies, governance, and best practices to enable effective cross‑functional decision‑making.
  • Spearhead capacity planning initiatives to optimize distribution center throughput and production capabilities in line with customer demand.
  • Collaborate closely with DC and production teams to identify, manage, and resolve capacity constraints, ensuring smooth operational execution.
  • Lead and develop EU S&OP and Demand Planning Teams. 
  • Ensure compliance with defined reporting standards while driving digitalization and automation initiatives across planning processes.
  • Build and maintain strong, trust‑based relationships across ZF Aftermarket Europe, the global sourcing network, and key customer accounts.
  • Take full accountability for regional inventory performance, including optimization initiatives and safety stock calculation, balancing availability and cost efficiency.

 

Your profile as a Manager Sales & Operations Planning Region Europe (f/m/d):

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Mgt, Logistics or Business Administration.
  • 10+ years of relevant professional experience.
  • Proven experience in demand planning and S&OP governance, including facilitation of cross‑functional reviews and escalation of strategic supply‑demand trade‑offs.
  • Proven experience in S&OP process design and implementation incl. fit &gap analysis of tools.
  • Ability to operate at senior stakeholder level, influencing Category Managers and Sales leaders through data‑driven insights and scenario‑based decision support.
  • High competence to lead virtual, multicultural, and diverse teams.
  • Strong strategic agility and high influencing skills.
  • Ability to manage high complexity with excellent change management skills.
  • Strong collaborative problem-solving skills.
  • Fluency in English.
