About the Team:
Key purpose of this newly created role is to lead definition and execution of global strategy for the product lines within his/her category, across regions, to drive profitable market penetration and deliver global category sales and profit targets
What you can look forward to as Global Category Leader – Air Management (m/f/d):
• Details strategic actions and drives disciplined execution of strategy to deliver sustainable commercial success of category and achieve sales, margin and profitability performance targets,
• Defines global category go‑to‑market approach across regions and channels in alignment with regional categories to ensure market access and achievement of commercial targets,
• Defines global category cost reduction roadmap by consolidating regional needs and aligning cross‑divisional and cross‑functional key stakeholders (product segments, operations, engineering, purchasing, etc.) to achieve defined profitability targets,
• Defines and governs global category pricing strategy across regions, validates and approves price requests in line with established process and Delegation of Authority,
• Defines global category branding and product value proposition framework in alignment with marketing strategy,
• Owns product commercial knowledge and training across the globe to ensure a strong and consistent knowledge base within the aftermarket regional sales community,
• Acts as main interface to OE Division global product line / product segment for AM and OE OP, SP strategy alignment and holds accountability for execution of key projects in OE division.
Your profile as Global Category Leader – Air Management (m/f/d):
• Naturally coming from a Sales, Marketing, Business Development, or Project Management background; however, strong business acumen is more important than the specific background
• Mid‑ to long‑term professional experience (5–10+ years) across business functions; experience in the aftermarket environment (OES, IAM) is an advantage but not a requirement.
• Experience in product management, specification and development processes,
• Global experience across product and distribution footprint,
• Solid knowledge of ZF products, footprint, structures and internal processes; knowledge of Air Management products is an advantage but not required,
• Strategic and analytical thinking combined with active execution of product strategy targets,
• Strong negotiation, influencing and relationship management skills across regions and cultures, with mature leadership capability engaging senior stakeholders across DIV B and CVS organizations,
• Strong drive for results while developing competencies and empowering teams within the AM organization.
