Wind Material Handler

This position is located in Big Spring, Texas
Position Responsibilities:
- Receive material physically and in SAP ERP,
- Receive cores and new gearboxes main shafts,
- Material inspection and Non-Conformance Report (NCR) (purchase queries) handling in case of deviation
- Labeling every product and placing them accordingly,
- Identifying and locating the right products during the delivery process,
- Picking of parts for production orders (shop repairs, field service kits, spare parts sales,…),
- Coordinate the shipments of parts sent for rework to the external suppliers,
- Handle returns by completing technical documentation and other required communication,
- Keep all material handling equipment in the best condition by conducting regular maintenance,
- Convey purchasing requirements and keeping data on the availability of products in short supply,
- Collaborate with internal departments to locate missing packages, fix incorrect deliveries, and replace damaged products,
- Package, palletize and coordinate deliveries with freight forwarders and internal department,
- Complete periodic maintenance of spare parts(applying rust preventatives, packaging sheets,..), ensuring short and long-term storage procedures for gearbox and main shafts are followed,
- Keep a well-maintained and updated account of stock and inventory and support with cycle count and physical audits
Required Skills, Experience and Education:
- High School diploma or GED required.
- Previous distribution/warehouse experience required.
- Basic PC skills required (on/off, read screen, toggle, use mouse, check inventory)
- Forklift experience and proper use of hand tools required.
Preferred Skills and experience:
- Intermediate PC skills preferred.
- Exposure to TQM’s and TS/QS 9000
Reporting to Position: Reports to Wind Master Scheduler in Vernon Hills, IL.

Physical demands: While performing the duties of this job, the associate is required to stand for extended periods of time; 60 minutes continuously up to 6 hours per 10 hour day, walk up to 2 miles per day, handle or feel objects and/or tools; operate power tools; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop; bend, verbally communicate; and hear safety indicators. The associate must occasionally lift and /or move up to 40 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to focus.
Work Environment: While performing the duties of the job, the associate is exposed to a warehouse environment with some office exposure
