Program Purchasing Buyer II

Your Responsibilities 

  • Support ZF North America Steering strategy and belt drive steering system launches
  • Manage bill of material (B.O.M.) costs for the program lifetime
  • Track saving opportunities and progress of cost down activities in compliance with the current and outer years program budget
  • Post SOP changes management (VAVE, Engineering changes, Quality improvement, etc.) and implementation in production as well as new programs.                                    
  • Maintain good contact with suppliers to avoid delays and coordinating the component purchasing process on a global level
  • Monitor BOM commercial targets in terms of piece cost, tooling, annual productivity, localization, and dual sourcing requirements
  • Close cooperation with commodities, supplier development engineers, program management and design/application engineering.
  • Ensure suppliers install adequate capacity to support global and local program volumes

 

Your Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in supply chain, purchasing, finance, or project management
  • Proficiency in the English language
  • 2+ years of combined in supply chain or purchasing
  • Be proactive, willing to work in dynamic high-paced organization
  • Fluent in Microsoft Office programs and tools
  • Excellent communication with cross functional areas
  • Knowledge of SAP or another ERP system preferred
  • Knowledge of supplier cost breakdowns, tooling, and processes preferred
  • PowerBI & other advanced Microsoft office program skills preferred
