Systems Engineer- Steering Systems

We are looking for a new colleague to join our Systems Engineering team in Washington, MI!

 

Responsibilities:

  • Define and maintain new baselines of customer requirements to provide correct functionality for a new application product development
  • Provide system engineering interface with customer
  • Review customer requirements, elicit or capture explanation information and generate necessary internal requirements documents or specification analysis documents
  • Evaluate proposed changes to customer and internal requirements documents
  • Manage functional validation of software at system level
  • Manage planning of system development milestones with software and other internal teams and provide leadership to ensure delivery to these milestones
  • Lead investigation and resolution of system performance issues and document all activities in appropriate fault reports
  • Support Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (DFMEA) and Design Review by Failure Mode (DRBFM) generation and assure compliance to customer requirements
  • Any other reasonable activities required by management

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (BSME, BSEE, or equivalent).
  • 1+ years in engineering required, experience with mechatronic actuators with embedded software preferred
  • Ability to lead and motivate others
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience with problem tracking and reporting systems
  • Familiarity with ISO 26262 and ASPICE
  • Vector CANape and CANalyzer knowledge a plus
  • Experience with model-based software specifications for automotive electronic systems a plus
