Job Title: Sales Process Development Lead

Introduction:

ZF Aftermarket’s Sales Enablement team drives the execution of innovative tools & technology, enabling programs, coaching and kickass formats to increase the productivity and effectiveness of our field sales representatives across the globe. Purpose:

The Sales Process Development Lead plays a pivotal role within the Sales Enablement team of ZF's aftermarket division, responsible for identifying, planning, and implementing key processes to drive sales improvement, increase productivity, and enhance customer satisfaction. This role leads a team in developing end to end effective selling approaches across business lines and channels, collaborating with stakeholders to ensure that implemented processes add value to all stakeholders, particularly sales teams.

 

Accountabilities & Responsibilities:

1. Process Improvement: Identify, plan, and implement key processes to improve quality, reduce costs, increase productivity, and improve cycle time, resulting in significant sales improvement and customer satisfaction.

2. Taskforce Leadership: Act as a taskforce leader in direct partnership with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs)/Process Owners, bringing together experts to collaborate on process development. Establish clear goals and expectations for the group to deliver a 'ready for development' package to the technology team and a 'go to sales manual' to the operations team.

3. Stakeholder Engagement: Connect relevant stakeholders across the organization to provide the right elements to sell to the frontend sales organization. Involve salespeople from day one in the taskforce to calibrate requirements and ensure alignment with sales needs.

4. Team Leadership: Lead, develop, and staff the Sales Process Development (SPD) team according to ZF's guidelines. Provide guidance, support, and mentorship to direct reports.

5. Standardized Processes: Identify, design, roll out, and monitor standardized and optimized processes to build an end-to-end effective selling approach across business lines and channels.

6. Connection into ZF Group: Collaborate with Division B Leadership, Regions, Finance, Operations, Business Lines, Customers, and Strategy teams to ensure alignment and integration of sales processes with overall business objectives.

  • Project Management: Strong project management and leadership skills, capable of leading complex projects from conception to implementation.
  • Detail Oriented: Organized, thorough, and attentive to details in process development and implementation.
  • Creative Thinking: Ability to think creatively and innovatively to develop effective sales processes.
  • Adaptability: Capable of adapting to changing situations and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Prioritization: Self driven and capable of prioritizing tasks with minimal oversight to meet timelines.
  • Team Leadership: Experience in leading and developing teams, providing guidance, support, and mentorship.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills to assess processes, identify improvement opportunities, and measure effectiveness.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Sales, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in sales process development, project management, or related roles within the automotive (aftermarket) or similar industry.
  • Proven track record of driving process improvement and implementing standardized processes to enhance sales effectiveness.
  • Experience in leading cross functional teams and collaborating with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively convey complex ideas and concepts.
  • Proficiency in project design and management tools, like Zimbio and methodologies.
  • Familiarity with sales enablement technologies and CRM tools like Salesforce.com is a plus.
