About the team:
The Product Stewardship & SCIP Coordinator is responsible for managing and coordinating product compliance data and processes related to chemical substances across divisional and cross-divisional teams. This role ensures that aftermarket products meet international and national chemical regulations, standards, and customer-specific requirements.
What you can look forward to as Product Stewardship & SCIP Coordinator:
- Coordinate and maintain product material and chemical substances data in ZF systems, including SAP PRC and SAP TP01.
- Ensure comprehensive and accurate entry of substance data for aftermarket products in SAP, with a focus on data quality and system excellence.
- Act as a key user and lead SAP-related projects in the area of chemical substances.
- Manage SCIP (Substances of Concern In articles as such or in complex objects – Products) submissions, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of customer information to external bodies and authorities, including the European Chemicals Agency (ECHA).
- Analyze global legal requirements related to product environmental protection, hazardous substances, and substance restrictions.
- Monitor and interpret relevant laws, regulations, and customer requirements, such as REACh, to ensure compliance of aftermarket products.
- Support knowledge transfer and training initiatives related to IMDS, SCIP, and chemical regulations for internal teams and suppliers.
- Coordinate the IMDS Executive Team and maintain an overview of global chemical regulations, including IMDS, CAMDS, SCIP, and CDX.
- Collaborate closely with Product Category, Engineering, and Purchasing teams to ensure compliance with ingredient-related requirements.
Your Profile as Product Stewardship & SCIP Coordinator:
- Minimum of 7 years of professional experience in product compliance, environmental regulations, or related fields.
- Solid knowledge of SAP maintenance systems, especially in the context of material and chemical substances data management.
- Practical experience with environmental legislation such as REACH, ELV, and hazardous substance approval processes is a strong advantage.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings is a plus.
- Background in product development or quality management is considered beneficial.
- Very good command of English (spoken and written) is essential for effective communication in an international environment.
- Strong attention to detail, with the ability to analyze complex regulatory requirements and translate them into actionable processes.
- Comfortable working in cross-functional and cross-divisional teams, with a proactive approach to knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.
