Product Packaging Specialist

Main Responsibilities:

• Develop and improve cost driver tree. Implement cost savings initiatives related to packaging materials, labor, efficiency, transportation and storage.
• Change management and project management leadership for global processes and packaging data tools. Analyze, develop and collaborate on data management processes and information architecture.
• Design, develop, maintain and approve product packaging according to strategy being compliant with regulations, market/ customer requirement, minimizes risk of product damage, presents the product optimally to the customer, and maximizes pack density, all while minimizing cost, utilizing best practices and reducing carbon footprint.
• Analyze engineering drawings and specifications of product to determine physical characteristics of item, special handling, environmental and safety requirements, and types of materials required for packaging (product characteristics/special handling under the lead of engineering) Develop procedures for quality and safety control.
• Interact cross-functional and cross regional with teams including manufacturing, purchasing, product compliance, quality, marketing as well as Category management and Regions to determine the most suitable design and quantity of packaging, and successfully implement these concepts on a defined timeline.

Your Profile:

• Education in engineering: packaging engineering ideally
• Experience in engineering, supply chain, requirements managements, process management
• Knowledge in the intercultural collaborations, cross functional collaborations
• Automotive background  
• Fluency in English
