Quality Engineer for SWS (m/f/d)

We are looking for a new colleague to strengthen our BU Global Quality Team based in Portugal

Main accountabilities, responsabilities and deliverables:

• Drive and lead globally plant’s Advanced Prevention Quality of Product Line in close contact with program management, engineering and operations
• Support global teams on preparation for Gate Reviews;
• Lessons Learned deployment in Product Line across running projects and into new projects development;
• Global CTQs development/ownership in Product Line;
• Drive product Line Quality Strategy into the plants together with OPQ (CTQ, Lessons Learned, QRCM, Product Safety, etc.);
• Support relevant cross functional activities in the Product Line to continuously improve the product robustness, including Design/Engineering, Process/AME, P&P, Supplier Development, etc., by following strategic planning and structured approach or measures to be brought into the launches;
• Review of quality standards and implementation by Development process audits in projects and plants.

Required skills and experience / main competences:

• Functional teams, ideally on an international scale and partially remotely;
• High awareness of lean manufacturing principles, processes, tools and techniques in quality management;
• Strong verbal and written communication skills at all hierarchy levels;
• Highly developed analytical and problem-solving skills, financial acumen;
• High result, customer and change orientation;
• Fluent in Portuguese;
• Excellent English language skills and willingness to undertake global travel;
• Knowledge and experience in quality planning, quality assurance, quality management systems, quality tools & methods;
• Project management Knowledge;
• Deep understanding of product & processes in product line;
• Technical understanding of quality impact on KPI;
• Team player.
