Position Summary: The Service Engineer for will provide technical assistance on ZF products to internal and external customers for off-highway products. 

 

Position Responsibilities:

  • Implementation and coordination of service actions both in-house and in field.
  • Establishes and maintains positive customer relationships for technical issues and customer satisfaction.
  • Interprets, distributes, and follows up to ensure Service Change Notices are implemented throughout the organization.
  • Creates and distributes Technical Service Bulletins for ZF products to aid customers in product installation.
  • Proactively alerts Industrial Business Line Product Management and Quality department about potential safety and technical issues on ZF products. Helps to find solutions by using problem-solving processes.
  • Provides technical support on new product releases, B.O.M.’s, and catalogs.
  • Assist in warranty inspections and provides failure analysis on ZF product warranty claims which may require some travel.
  • Provide product training for internal and external customers which may require some travel.
  • Represent the needs of the customer in accordance with ZF company policies and procedures in VHBMS and AMSOP (voice of the customer) meetings.
  • Perform related tasks as needed

*Rotating schedule for weekend coverage.

*Travel internationally and domestically up to 20%. 

 

Required Skills, Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree 
  • Blueprint reading experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and SAP
  • Project management experience
  • Customer relations and negotiation skills.
  • Self-driven and result & detail oriented.
  • Must be able to troubleshoot/problem-solve drivetrain issues.

 

Preferred Skills and Experience:

  • 1+ years experience (including internship or co-op)
  • Experience with high voltage vehicle systems and CAN knowledge.
  • Heavy duty construction vehicle or commercial vehicle experience
