Receiving Coordinator

Essential Tasks: 

  • Must be able to perform all Material Handler 2 duties.
  • Works with Purchasing and Planning to resolve issues in receiving.
  • Maintains log of all incoming receipts; parcel, truck, ocean and air.
  • When possible, manually enters ASN’s for materials in which our supplier does not send an ASN.  Prior to receipt of shipment.
  • Confirms internal receipt of incoming materials awaiting put-away.
  • Manages internal storage plan for parts awaiting incoming verification
  • Scans inbound receipts onto network drive.
  • Maintains log of inbound shipments awaiting receipt on network drive.
  • Delivers small packages to respective areas; office, shop or warehouse.
  • Maintains communication log for small packages of unknown destination and disposition accordingly.
  • Performs direct receiving activities.
  • Supports all receiving functions and provides backup for DC Supervisors.
  • Maintains OS&D procedure and actions, including investigation.
  • Provides leadership including training to colleagues within a functional work group.   
  • Supports safety and good housekeeping in the performance of Distribution Center duties.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

 

 

Organizational Relationships:         Reports to Distribution Center Supervisor, has no direct

                                                            reports.

 

Educational Requirements:             High School diploma or equivalent required.

 

Experience Requirements:               Previous distribution/warehouse experience required. Intermediate PC skills required. Exposure to TQM’s and knowledge of QS/ISO 9000. 

                                                             Forklift experience and proper use of hand tools required. Working knowledge of ZF part numbers and family descriptions a plus.

Physical demands:  While performing the duties of this job, the associate is required to stand for extended periods of time; 60 minutes continuously up to 6 hours per 10 hour day, walk up to 2 miles per day, handle or feel objects and/or tools; operate power tools; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop; bend, verbally communicate; and hear safety indicators. The associate must occasionally lift and /or move up to 30 pounds.  Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to focus.

 

Work Environment:  While performing the duties of the job, the associate is exposed to a warehouse environment with some office exposure.
