What you can look forward to as a Mining Gearbox Mechanic
- Diagnose/Troubleshoot gearboxes and inspect and report failure analysis of product and parts
- Inspect and reassemble gearboxes including implementing product updates
- Test product to ensure functionality
- Communicate with customer service for product analysis and customer support
- Receive inventory
- Prep, paint and skid units
- Stage and organize WIP for paint. Keep up on all safety checklists and input paint specs to safety team.
- Maintain respirator certifications.
- Performs related tasks as assigned.
Your profile as a Mining Gearbox Mechanic
- High School diploma or equivalent required
- 3+ Years disassembling, assembling, inspecting industrial heavy equipment transmissions and gear boxes.
- Read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints and hydraulic schematics.
- Read, interpret and implement product specific updates and changes from OEM documents.
- Must be able to safely handle and measure industrial coatings while monitoring PSI regulators during operation.
- Must be able to qualify for a Powered Industrial Truck certification
- Must be able to qualify for industrial respirator certification.
- Must be able to read and write English.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills required.
- Strong computer skills required.
- Valid Driver’s License
