What you can look forward to as a Cycle Counter: 

  • Verify and maintain accuracy of inventory by counting all inventory items according to ZF internal guidelines.
  • Coordinate root cause analysis and corrective actions of discrepancies between physical counts and computer records, identify processes changes to prevent errors.
  • Maintain cycle count spreadsheets’ daily, monthly, and year to date using appropriate identified Systems.
  • Participate in corrective action and problem-solving meetings relative to cycle count issues.
  • Prepare inventory error notice. Observe controlling guidelines to make daily corrections based on cycle counts.
  • Assist the Distribution Center in locating inventory or reconciling inventory errors.
  • Provide group leadership for annual inventories.

 

Your Profile as a Cycle Counter: 

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required. 
  • Forklift experience required
  • MS Outlook knowledge required.
  • Computer, math, problem solving, organizational and interpersonal skills required.
  • Ability to work 2nd shift (1:30 PM to 10:00 PM)
  • Ability to work overtime as needed 
  • SAP, MS Excel and  APICS preferred.
  • Distribution Center experience beneficial.

Physical demands and work environment:  Physical demands and work environment characteristics described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.  Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities  to perform the essential functions. Physical demands: Ability to lift up to 50lbs. Ability to stand for extended periods of time; 60 minutes continuously up to 6 hours per day. Must climb on/off forklift (17’’ step). Must tolerate seated posture up to 60 minutes continuously for a total of up to 6 hours per day. Forklift operator requires near/far/depth vision while operating forklift and handling supplies. Requires walking up to 2 miles in one day. Work Environment:  While performing the duties of the job, the associate is exposed to a manufacturing floor atmosphere with some office exposure.
