About the Team

The Engineer I- Manufacturing works integrally with maintenance technicians, maintenance technician team leader, engineers and other plant personnel in the analysis of process problems and troubleshooting equipment problems to ensure proper process operation.

 

What you can look forward to as the Engineer I – Manufacturing:

  • Making changes to enhance the machine functionality of the equipment, continuously improve/upgrade equipment using six sigma/lean principles, and troubleshoot and solve errors/problems on production equipment.
  • Ensuring the work environment, equipment and processes are in safe condition and meet or exceed OSHA requirements.
  • Analyzing and planning work force utilization, space requirements, workflow, and designing layout of equipment and workspace for maximum efficiency.
  • Determining product specifications for the purchase of equipment, materials or parts, according to specifications and quality standards.
  • Contacting potential suppliers for production equipment and supports the final technical choice.  
  • Overseeing implementation of the equipment on the floor from delivery to hand off to production, and estimating production times, staffing requirements, and related costs to provide information for management decisions.
  • Estimating future manufacturing requirements and potential, help to ensure that the quality of the product produced meets all customer requirements.
  • Other Duties as related to this position.

 

Your Profile as an Engineer I- Manufacturing:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
  • 0-2+ years of experience (internship/co-op included)
  • Proficient computer skills with Microsoft and CAD software.
  • Capable of making sound decisions in a timely manner.
  • Excellent communications capabilities with both verbal and written means.
  • Good time management and prioritizing skills
  • A working knowledge of statistical methods and SPC charts.  
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.
