Manufacturing cost analyst

Your task:

• Collection and analysis of cost and operational data from multiple sources - detailed cost breakdowns, supplier documentation, technical product specification and manufacturing process design to calculate the impact of product changes on profit margin.
• Analyzing and verifying costs of manufacturing systems, processes, and tools within the life cycle of strategic projects based on input from product and process engineering, customer requirements specifications, etc.
• Preparing recommendations to achieve optimum cost levels for materials, manufacturing processes, etc. using approaches such as value engineering.
• Establishing a transparent structure for unit costing of manufactured/remanufactured products e.g. for external and internal cost benchmarking purposes between the division's manufacturing plants.
• Building a knowledge base using best practices in costing and cost engineering in the automotive industry, using it to increase cost efficiency of operations and improve costing standards.

Profile of candidate:

• Experience with cost analytics in automotive industry (3+ years)
• Deep understanding of cost engineering process and approaches
• Experience in using value analysis/engineering & cost modelling techniques
• Knowledge of Microsoft Excel – Advanced
• Ability to apply problem-solving techniques to project-related issues
• Organizational & self-organization skills
• English skills (min. B2 level)
• Willingness to work in heterogenous, global team

Monthly salary from € 2 000 (including basic salary component * and bonuses). The possibility of being offered a higher salary for this position depends on qualifications and experience.
