About the Team

The Manufacturing Engineering team in Toluca is responsible for designing, optimizing, and continuously improving assembly processes to support operational excellence in automotive manufacturing. The team works closely with Production, Quality, Maintenance, Industrial Engineering, and Launch Management to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable operations. Through the application of Lean Manufacturing, automation, and quality methodologies, the team drives productivity, cost reduction, and customer satisfaction. Collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement are at the core of the department's success.

• Design, develop, and optimize automotive assembly lines to improve productivity, quality, and operational efficiency.
• Create and maintain work instructions, manufacturing standards, and process documentation.
• Lead Lean Manufacturing initiatives focused on waste reduction, process optimization, and continuous improvement.
• Analyze time studies, work methods, and line balancing to maximize throughput and resource utilization.
• Coordinate new product launches, production transfers, and manufacturing readiness activities.
• Troubleshoot and resolve manufacturing, process, and quality issues using structured problem-solving methodologies.
• Manage manufacturing equipment, tooling, automation systems, and industrial robotics to ensure reliable production performance.
• Monitor and improve key manufacturing KPIs, including OEE, Scrap, FPY, PPM, cycle time, line efficiency, and production attainment.

Your Profile as Senior Engineer Manufacturing

• Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Several years of experience in manufacturing engineering within the automotive industry, preferably in assembly processes.
• Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Experience with APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, Control Plans, and IATF 16949 Core Tools.
• Solid understanding of industrial ergonomics, line balancing, and automotive manufacturing systems.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and GD&T requirements.
• Experience with automation technologies, robotics, and advanced manufacturing processes.
• Strong analytical, project management, leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. Advanced English proficiency is required.
