About the Team: Are you a specialist in customs & import/export and want to apply your skills in a dynamic and international environment? Then ZF Foxconn is the right place for you! We are looking for support in our Customs team. The Regional Customs Coordinator is part of a regional team of 7 that is responsible for improving customs processes to mitigate and reduce compliance and financial risks, increase duty refunds and claims, and find opportunities to lean customs processes. Also supports MX and US/CA teams with project management, customs operations and audits.

 

What you can look forward to as a Customs Coordinator:

  • Contributing to the optimization of customs and foreign trade processes.
  • Understanding compliance requirements in the region to mitigate or reduce risks, including export control, non-dutiable regulations.
  • Exchanging information within the team on legal changes.
  • Managing customs related projects and implementations.
  • Assisting in the optimization and digitization of our processes.
  • Monitoring and ensuring compliance with internal control systems (ICS) and compliance guidelines, as well as assisting with internal audits.
  • Supporting Head of Customs to prepare and attend to government, internal and external customs audits and FTZ audits.
  • Creating, updating, uploading and reviewing customs related processes and procedures to streamline customs activity.

 

Your profile as a Customs Coordinator:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
  • 4+ years of related operations experience with Customs regulatory environment (US/MX required). Deep customs understanding.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office tools – particularly Access and Excel.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with a high attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to analyze and interpret data and supply chain-related processes.
  • Solid organization and time/project management skills.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills. Proficient in written and spoken English.
  • Experience with CA Customs regulatory environment preferred.
