Position Summary: Product Manager as part of Category Management IAM is responsible for developing the product line assigned to him/her in accordance with the company's strategy. This includes new spare parts introduction, implementation of change management, continuous portfolio adjustments and the responsibility for product master data to achieve specific goals in terms of sales, profitability, capital commitment and market share This is done by following applicable company guidelines and principles, as well as other goals.
Role Expectations:
B2C expertise and service for Independent Aftermarket (IAM). Manage IAM product range offer and its product life cycle. Work cross functional with Engineering, Cataloging, Quality, Marketing, Pricing, Purchasing, Sales and other departments to ensure revenue and customer satisfaction goals are met.
Position Main Responsibilities:
- Drive new product introductions through customer feedback, vehicle research and market/category research.
- Product life cycle management, including range extension, product changes and termination.
- Track and enhance NPI sales efficiency.
- Define product specification, including packaging, label, appearance, inserts.
- Work together with Sales to monitor customer requirements, market and competitor’s trends.
- Furnish purchasing with necessary information to properly RFQ vendors.
- Knowledge and expertise on automotive parts for typical failure modes, service life, and relative advantages between ZF’s products v. competitors.
- Manage the data integrity of the product line in SAP, ensure all necessary information is maintained and accurate.
- Maintain vehicle coverage and profitability of assigned Category according to KPI defined by the company.
- Elaboration of New Announcement letter for Customer communication
- Devising long-term development strategies for product categories
- Perform additional tasks as assigned.
Essential Skills and Experience:
- Mechanical, Industrial and / or Mechatronic Engineering, Business University degree
- 5 years of automotive aftermarket experience desired.
- Ability to prioritize multiple projects and work within deadlines.
- Excellent analytical and technical aptitude
- Excellent project management skills and leadership
- Strong communication skills and the ability to cooperate with multiple departments and companies}
- English Level : Advanced
