System Design Engineer (Chassis Solutions Division)

Your main activities:

  • Document and manage System Requirements for the braking system
  • Ensure requirements to tests traceability and compliance with ISO26262 and Automotive Spice
  • Analysis and coordination of product and customer- specific system requirements
  • Derive system requirements from customer requirements, system architecture/ system safety requirements based on internal requirements, as well as from other requirements
  • Identify system components and their influencing parameters such as sensor signals in close cooperation with system architects
  • Optimization of the brake system in interdisciplinary cooperation with architects, development teams and testing teams
  • Review delivery contents and deadlines with the stakeholders and compile delivery material
  • Ensure compliance with the internal system requirements analysis process
  • Ensure requirements are correctly defined and documented
  • Responsible for the implementation of Functional Safety in application projects in accordance to ISO26262/ IEC61508
  • Perform detailed analysis for the System Design in application projects with the focus on Functional Safety
  • Specification/ adaptation of safety related Work products mainly technical level (A-Spice SYS.2/3 process level)
  • Development of Technical Safety Concepts
  • Moderation/Involvement of System Safety Analysis (e.g. FMEA, FTA, FMEDA)
  • Evaluation of hazards and classification (ASIL)
  • Hardware/ Software ASIL Decomposition
  • Coordination and cooperation with internal and external customers with regards to Functional Safety topics in application projects
  • Support the System Architecture team
  • Following company standards, international safety standards, legal standards and development process

 

Your profile:

Studies:

  • Engineer, Bachelor of Science, Master of Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Functional Safety, Mechanical Engineering

Experience:

  • Automotive standards knowledge (ISO26262, Automotive SPICE, Functional Safety, etc)
  • Knowledge in Systems Engineering (ISO15288 or similar) especially in the field of Requirements Engineering, Functional Safety
  • Knowledge of Embedded Systems and/ or System Architecture advantages
  • Experience in requirements-based development, especially in derivation, documentation, analysis and coordination of requirements
  • Functional Safety in accordance to ISO26262, IEC61508 or similar
  • Good understanding of technical interrelations for requirements analysis
  • Experience in working with IBM Doors or equivalent requirements tools
  • PTC Integrity and UML / SysML experience is a plus
  • Experience in Safety Development is an advantage

Language:

  • Good communications skills in English (German is a plus)

Soft skills:

  • Independent working method, self-motivation and flexibility
