About the Team

ZF Wind Power develops, together with its partners, unique gearbox designs and services to guarantee the highest quality at competitive costs.  We are looking for a new colleague, Customer Quality Engineer at our location of Tianjin, China.

What you can look forward to as Customer Quality Engineer - Wind Power:

  • New product development, main duties include: quality planning and management, and tracking and managing the project schedule with an APQP tool. Risk evaluation and quality control (FMEA & Control Plan). Measurement system evaluation and improvement. Lead project readiness audit and monitor & follow up improvement actions. Organize internally to support customer audit (process audit, product audit, system audit, and project readiness audit), monitor, and follow up on improvement actions until completion. Quality deviation handling toward customers. Change management activities. PPAP activities with internal and customers.
  • Series Product Monitor. Main duties include: Risk evaluation and quality control (FMEA & Control plan). Create the quality guarantee document (quality requirement instruction, measurement technology instruction, quality record sheet, audit sheet). Product process capability monitor (SPC & PPK). Measurement system monitor (MSA). Lead or join in internal audit (process audit, product audit, system audit). Organize internally to support customer audit (process audit, product audit, system audit), monitor, and follow up on improvement action until completion. Quality deviation handling for the customers. Data collection and presentation preparation for regular meetings with customers. The NC process handling toward the customers. Change management activities.
  • Quality improvement. Main duties: Lead the team to improve product quality when failure. Summarize product improvement direction according to PPK, MSA report. Problem-solving tools application in important quality activities (8D, 6 Sigma, red X).

Your Profile as Customer Quality Engineer - Wind Power:

  • Bachelor’s degree or above (priority on mechanical engineering and automation). Workable English and Mandarin in speaking and writing.
  • Experience: total more than 5 years of work experience in a manufacturing environment, at least 3 years of work experience in manufacturing process or process quality engineering, quality system, or manufacturing project-related functions.
  • Good knowledge of quality tools, like APQP, PPAP, 8D, etc. Familiar with QMS (ISO9001) audit/ VDA6.3/ VDA6.5, all about customer audit-related. Analytical and systematic thinking, fact-based.
  • Good knowledge of wind field application, excelled in gearbox assembly & test know-how. Has product knowledge, mainly focuses on gearbox level, including customer interface related kits, optional in component level. Has process knowledge, mainly focuses on gearbox assembly and testing process, and further application would be preferred. Optional in machined component manufacturing and measuring process, understand 4M1E. Familiar with relevant machines and instrument in gearbox level. Familiar with calibration.
  • Proven year-on-year learning practice. Skillful in multiple functions coordination.
  • Presentation skill: learn by doing, has practice experiences with the global team.
