What you can look forward as a Technical Project Manager: 

  • Set up, track, and ensure the technical project plan is in compliance with the Product Engineering Process 
  • Interface with the Team Leader to ensure proper engineering staffing and skills
  • Responsibility for all PE Expenses in the Project according to the project business case
  • Prepare Design Reviews and PEP gate reviews and ensure targets for the reviews are met
  • Analyze and Resolve Risks & Problems during the Development Phase
  • Achieve product target costs within the technical development
  • Define, track and ensure the technical project packages as defined in the PEP and WPCP
  • Manage and ensure the product maturity within the development regarding:
  • Fulfillment of the customer specifications
  • Fulfillment of the quality requirements of our customers and ZF
  • Fulfillment of safety regulations and legal requirements
  • Acts as the technical customer interface and internal technical interface within PE
  • Plan and allocate the necessary engineering resources according to the business plan
  • Coordinate and execute System-, Interface- and Design FMEAs and support P-FMEA
  • Coordinate the product validation and prototype activities in cooperation with the test center
  • Provide onsite support of production sites during product launches
  • Customer Releases and Documentation delivered on Time with required Quality and Content
  • Engineering Budget within the Business Case
  • Gate Reviews done first time right on time

 
Your Profile as Technical Project Manager:

  • Master’s Degree or foreign equivalent in Industrial Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a closely related engineering discipline plus three (3) years of experience in Engineering or Project Management.
  • Alternatively, employer will accept a Bachelor’s Degree or foreign equivalent in Industrial Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a closely related engineering discipline followed by five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in Engineering or Project Management.
  • Fluent in English
  • Successfully managed at least two projects over the Full Project Life-cycle
  • Experience in team management
  • Experience in budget management
  • Experience in working within a Global matrix environment
  • Experience in Automotive SPICE , ISO 26262 & IATF 16949
  • PMI Certification (Preferred)
  • Master’s Degree or foreign equivalent in Industrial Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a closely related engineering discipline plus three (3) years of experience in Engineering or Project Management. Alternatively, employer will accept a Bachelor’s Degree or foreign equivalent in Industrial Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a closely related engineering discipline followed by five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in Engineering or Project Management. Must be willing to travel domestically and internationally up to 15% of the time.
