Senior Reliability Engineer (m/f/d)

We are looking for a new colleague in our department Functional Safety Steering Systems at our location in Shirley (The Hub). ZF Hub UK – a brand new state-of-the-art, fit for the future facility supporting technology innovation for Next Generation Mobility, across four technology domains: Vehicle Motion Control, Integrated Safety, Automated Driving and Electric Mobility.
Your tasks :
- Technical leadership in best practice reliability assurance, advising on the best use of statistical techniques and to provide reliability analyses to form part of a commercial case to the EPS business and its customers
- To act on the results of any reliability analysis or validation test result to ensure that the safety and integrity of the electric power steering system is not compromised in any way
- To work with the customer to set reliability and safety acceptance standards, including reliability targets and flow down to the subsystem teams to develop customer-specific safety analyses and to ensure that the customer’s expectations are met
- Development and analysis of current products and new applications, publishing reliability reports to support project development, safety case sign off and safe launch achievement
- To support and provide analysis for HW Metrics analysis and FIT calculations as per ISO26262
Your profile :
- Degree or similar qualification in electrical or mechanical engineering or a related subject
- Minimum of three years’ experience in reliability engineering. Knowledge of statistical methods used for reliability analysis and design of validation test regimes
- Able to work flexibly in a multi-disciplinary team and on own initiative.
- Meticulous attention to detail
- Good communication skills at all levels
