We are looking for a new colleague in the Powertrain Electronics team at our new location in Shirley (The Hub). ZF Hub UK – a brand new state-of-the-art, fit for the future facility supporting technology innovation for Next Generation Mobility, across four technology domains: Vehicle Motion Control, Integrated Safety, Automated Driving and Electric Mobility. 

Your tasks as Senior Hardware Software Engineer (m/f/d):

• Working within the Powertrain engineering team you will be supporting manufacturing engineering on product updates, test specification changes and continuous improvement
• The role generally has an 70% software / 30% hardware development mix and requires relevant experience in test software system development and integration
• Responsible for delivering test specifications, test sequences and test libraries which achieves optimal test performance and required test cycle time for use in a high volume Automotive manufacturing environment
• Proven experience and capability in both Hardware and Software design and effective implementation of automated test solutions as well as electronic circuit analysis including worse case tolerance analysis and circuit simulation are an important part of the role 
• Support customers and suppliers and the introduction of products into serial production at ZF production plants 

Your profile as Senior Hardware Software Engineer (m/f/d):

• Object orientated software design experience
• Understanding of electronic circuit simulation, analysis and product validation in a high-volume high reliability market as well as good knowledge of analogue sensor interfaces, power switching circuits and switched mode power supplies 
• Experience with C, C++/ C# and Visual Studio, factory test platforms including GPIB/LXI as well as JTAG/ IC2/ SPI/ CAN/ RS232/ USB Comms protocols
• Self-motivated with a willingness to push existing boundaries to learn and develop new skills
• Excellent communication skills in English
