Functional Safety Electronics Engineer (m/f/d)

We are looking for a new colleague in the Hardware Functional Safety department at our location in Solihull.


Your tasks as Functional Safety Electronics Engineer (m/f/d):

  • Create electronic control circuit designs to meet the functional safety requirement needs for expanding steering functionality, particularly automated vehicle development.
  • Perform failure analysis and evaluation of hardware architectural metrics for electronic designs using FMEA, FTA and FIT analysis methods.
  • Manage functional safety risks identified through established functional safety process.
  • Promote compliance of engineering with the functional safety process
  • Communicate status and risks to (internal) customers, project managers and safety managers


Your profile as Functional Safety Electronics Engineer (m/f/d):

  • University Degree in Electronics (or equivalent) and at least 3 years of experience
  • Relevant experience in low power control electronics development role (preferably in automotive)
  • Knowledge of functional safety standards such as ISO 26262 or IEC 61508 and their practical application in product development is an advantage but not required
  • Excellent communication skills and team-orientation
  • Fluent language skills in English; willingness to travel occasionally
