Electronic Components Engineer (m/f/d)

We are looking for a new colleague in the Core Technology Engineering Team at our location in Shirley.


Your tasks as Electronic Components Engineer (m/f/d):

  • Lead efforts for Component management for both legacy and new development projects: work closely with electrical hardware design engineers to select new components based on requirements, reliability, technology and second source options
  • Management of electronic components changes and provide technical recommendation for implementation
  • Maintain technical knowledge of electronic components including technologies, manufacturing processes, failure modes, etc.
  • Interface with Engineering, Manufacturing, Purchasing, Quality and suppliers to address component issues (active engagement with suppliers)
  • Monitor electronic component industry trends and recommend preferred component selections per the technology and supplier changes in the industry.


Your profile as Electronic Components Engineer (m/f/d):

  • Understanding of electronic components, their technologies, construction, materials, failure modes and applications as well as component qualification processes and external standards (e.g. AEC-Automotive Electronics Council, ZVEI)
  • Orientation in PCB layout design and electronic devices production process will be an advantage
  • Able to work individually or as part of an international cross-functional team providing technical leadership
  • Work with a high level of accuracy and attention to details to produce quality results
  • Multi-task effectively and adapt within a rapidly changing environment
