We are looking for a new colleague in the Hardware Systems test team at our location in Shirley (The Hub). 

Our ZF Hub UK is a brand new state-of-the-art, fit for the future facility supporting technology innovation for Next Generation Mobility, across four technology domains: Vehicle Motion Control, Integrated Safety, Automated Driving and Electric Mobility. 

Your tasks as Electrified Powertrain Technician:

• Removal and fitting of powertrain and drivelines from test fleet vehicles.
• Installation and commissioning of electronic measuring equipment into test vehicles. 
• Assembly and disassembly of mass production and prototype automatic transmissions in accordance with pre-determined work instructions
• Support the inspection and measurement of individual transmission component parts and assemblies for deterioration, wear and serviceability
• Preparing transmissions with measurement instrumentation to various specification levels for vehicle and test rig applications

Your profile as Electrified Powertrain Technician:

• Apprenticeship in a Mechanical Engineering discipline or formal qualification in Automotive City & Guilds / NVQ Level 3
• Solid experience of modern light motor vehicles
• Proven experience in an engine build / transmission build environment would be advantageous
• High Voltage Experience advantageous – ideally HV trained, but not essential
• PC literate
