Cybersecurity Engineer (m/f/d)

Seeking an enthusiastic and highly creative engineer to grow our cybersecurity services for ZF product lines in advanced vehicle control, driver assistance, electronic steering and braking systems for increasingly autonomous and electric vehicles.  You will be working in a highly dynamic, multi-disciplinary consulting business with on-tap access to experts across domains, creating an exciting and stimulating environment to work in.  We will support your continuous professional development, to ensure our future success.


Your Tasks:

  • Develop leading-edge cybersecurity analysis and pen-test methodologies to independently assess the security of high-integrity, real-time automotive systems
  • Customise and create tools to efficiently perform product penetration-testing
  • Deliver cybersecurity services (TARA and pen-testing) primarily to internal ZF customers, and external customers where applicable
  • Provide expert cybersecurity consultancy and advice to product engineers on resolving weaknesses and vulnerabilities
  • Generate innovative methodologies and highly automated processes
  • Support stakeholder engagement and requirements capture with internal and external customers

Your Profile: 

  • Good degree in electronics, software, computer science or relevant discipline
  • Preferably relevant cybersecurity qualification(s), e.g. certificate, diploma, Masters or PhD
  • Demonstrable enthusiasm for cybersecurity as a topic
  • Cybersecurity experience desirable, preferably in the automotive domain
  • Familiarity with embedded systems, preferably in the automotive domain
  • Familiarity/ experience of the following desirable:
  • CAN, UDS and JTAG.
  • Automotive embedded systems tools (e.g. Vector products).
  • Coding in C/C++/Python.
  • Typical cybersecurity threats faced by automotive embedded systems
  • Embedded electronics competence within a systems engineering approach, considering cybersecurity in the whole concept to end-use product life cycle
  • Creative problem-solver, with ability to think beyond the obvious
  • Competent stakeholder engagement skills, with potential to develop further
  • Team player, able to adapt in a fast-changing, agile business environment
