sMotion System Coordinator

We are looking for a new colleague sMotion Systems Coordinator for our Division C at our location of Shanghai, ZFCN. 

 

Your Tasks

 

  • Main Objective: System coordinator for sMotion systems, responsible for system technical specification, based on the ZF standard system, system integration, component, and vehicle-level testing. He/She will act as the main interface between customer(s) and development team(s).

  • Provide software integration support at all Levels with OEM Engineering & Manufacturing organizations.

  • Problem Analysis (e.g. Measurements with CANalyzer) on site to support development Team.

  • Participate in weekly project status meetings, occasional specification and requirement reviews with OEM.

  • Support suspension development ride tuning activities including reviewing, compiling, testing software and calibration codes. 

  • Support preparation of Electrical Design Summaries outlining design solutions and capabilities to customer requirements.

  • Lead all system integration discussions with OEM.

  • Coordinate all electrical hardware and provide local software support (re-flashing of ECUs) for projects.

  • Mainly support Chinese customers, probability to support also other customers in APA region.

  • Support SAX Electronic/Software group as directed by the SAX Electronics/Software Engineering Manager.

  • Able to perform requirements analysis using DOORS database program.

  • Support All Continuous Improvement and Cost Reduction Efforts.

  • All Other Duties as Assigned.

 

Your Profile

  • 2-5 years’ experience in automotive embedded development

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, or equivalent from four-year college or university

  • Fluent in written and spoken English. Chinese language native speaker. German language skills are beneficial

  • Must have good computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office.

  • Basic knowledge of CAN communication and software-controlled systems. Experience with CANape, CANalyzer, DOORS programs are beneficial. Must be capable of learning other software packages as required (SAP, Axalant, ClearCase/ClearQuest, etc.) System engineering knowledge needed. Basic knowledge of electrical circuits and schematics.

  • Ability to work in team and within an intercultural environment. Good communication abilities/Cultural openness/Teamwork capabilities/Cost awareness. Excellent organizational skills and self-motivation. Must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Ability to work under pressure.

  • Must be willing and able to travel to Germany. Travel may include short term stay in Germany for system and process training, also has willingness to travel within China and APA for up to 20% working time.
