About the Team

This position is part of the ZF ADAS & HPC business unit known internally as "Capri." This business unit is planned for divestiture to Harman International, a Samsung company and global innovator in automotive technology, presenting a unique opportunity to be part of an exciting new chapter in the ADAS space.

 

What you can look forward to as System Engineer:

  • Lead the system architecture design for ADAS/AD domain controllers, including SoC selection, system bandwidth/power/thermal analysis, and delivery of system design documents.
  • Conduct requirement analysis and breakdown for L2+/L3 driving features (e.g., HWA/TJA/NOA) and automated parking functions (APA/AVP), build system models, and perform Functional Safety and SOTIF analyses.
  • Manage system-level requirements and traceability, define verification strategies, participate in design reviews, and support cross‑team issue analysis and resolution.
  • Define system KPIs (latency, response time, power, etc.) and lead system‑level trade‑offs among performance, power consumption, and cost.
  • Act as the technical interface with customers, chip suppliers, and internal R&D teams to ensure alignment on system solutions and drive project progress.

 

Your Profile as System Engineer

  • Strong mastery of systems engineering methodologies, requirement management, and SysML/UML modeling; familiar with large‑scale SoC architectures, heterogeneous computing, memory subsystems, and high‑speed interconnects.
  • Deep understanding of L2+/L3 automated driving and intelligent parking functions, ODD definitions, and system‑level ISO 26262 and SOTIF practices.
  • Excellent cross‑functional communication and coordination skills; able to clearly articulate complex technical concepts and lead technical discussions and reviews.
  • Proficient in system‑level verification, issue diagnostics, and data analysis, with the ability to define and optimize system KPIs.
  • Possesses forward‑looking technical insight and strong system thinking, able to navigate ambiguous requirements, identify risks, and guide solutions toward implementation
