Project Engineer

About the Team

We are looking for a new colleague in R&D Center at our location in Songjiang, Shanghai.

What you can look forward to as a Project Engineer:

• Project management within the framework of the job description for a project engineer.
• Independent project planning / coordination in accordance with the agreed-upon development process (concept to series-production phase) and in adherence to the specified project milestones.
• Development according to cost-related, functional, and production-related criteria based on the Customer and ZF specifications.
• Preparation/Organization of detailed design studies, product specifications/drawings, FMEA, simulations and calculations.
• Creation of all required documentation (bills of material etc.) in the PDM, PLM systems.
• Creation of test specifications and procedures together with Test Department according to requirements.
• Technical troubleshooting by using failure analysis tools.
• Cooperation with internal / external customers and suppliers; presentation of results and processes.

Your Profile as a Project Engineer:

• University Degree with a related engineering specialization.
• At least three-years’ experience, preferably experience with designing steering or suspension components.
• At least two years of experience with 3D design systems (Catia V5 preferred).
• Technical background with a strong understanding of mechanical or automotive engineering.
• Preferably knowledge of automotive customer standards and requirements.
• Basic knowledge of manufacturing and assembling technologies.
• Basic knowledge of forged products made of steel and aluminum materials.
• Basic knowledge of FMEA methods.
• Well structured, organized, efficient and accurate working method.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills for internal and external interaction.
