About The Team

We are looking for a new colleague as Principal Supplier Management Engineer for program management of suppliers quality audits and also be in charge of ECU suppliers, and directly report to the AP SDE Manager for EM Cluster and applicable product lines of Division Chassis Solutions at our location of Shanghai, China.

What you can look forward to as Program SQE - Chassis Electronics:

• Manage Chassis Electronics program status and ECU suppliers manufacturing location within China Region for Div C product lines. This position is focused on the development of key, targeted suppliers pre- and post- ZF SOP. Uses analytical and creative thinking for supplier development plans to prevent problems and to solve hard technical problems. He / she must understand a big picture and consider ZF business needs and supplier situations when making plans / decisions;
• Has the ability to assess suppliers manufacturing cell design, and process capabilities, must generate gap closure plans to address weaknesses for targeted suppliers. Raises the supplier’s performance bar by creating, promoting and sustaining a performance culture;
• Delivers on-time, on-quality performance by driving of a comprehensive supplier development plan for targeted / assigned supplier deficiencies;
• Considered the technical representative within the SQE Team for ECU;
• Support systemic improvement across the global Div C, for example LL share points in global team;
• May lead the development / advancement of the SQE Global Commodity Cultivation Team;
• This position will require frequent overnight travel to assigned supplier locations (Main locally) for pre-sourcing evaluations, APQP-PPAP assessments / problem resolution and lead crisis management situations.

Your Profile as Program SQE - Chassis Electronics:

• Bachelor degree in Electronics/Engineering required. English language required; 8+ years experience in a global company, Automotive SDE experience will be preferred, AME or manufacturing /quality role managing assembly products will be also considerable.
• This position will have knowledge of ECU related commodity processes, such as stamping, plastic, assembly and will continue to learn and leverage all other specific commodities as required. Must have working knowledge for assembly process development from drawing assessment, parts design, process design and qualification. Demonstrated results through hands-on experience from the shop floor to the boardroom; Know about design / manufacturing for industrialization of processes including experience of automated processes, perfectly execute data collection/sorting, fixture design, system thinking on complete line, planning process & design baseline definition for whole line to meet Ergonomic, GD&T, Cycle time and efficiency of production, check and ensure design/process quality;
• Good Knowledge of APQP/PPAP/MSA/PFEMA/SPC etc.; Good project management sense.
• Familiar with knowledge in Red-X/Shinning about problem solving will be preferred.
• Good program management skill.
• Good communication skill with cross function team include of internal/external.
