About the Team

This position is part of the ZF ADAS & HPC business unit known internally as "Capri." This business unit is planned for divestiture to Harman International, a Samsung company and global innovator in automotive technology, presenting a unique opportunity to be part of an exciting new chapter in the ADAS space.

What you can look forward to as Program Purchasing:

• Manage program BOM cost, identify cost‑reduction opportunities, and support productivity improvements through VA/VE and supplier negotiations.
• Support commodity teams with sourcing preparation and contract negotiation activities.
• Analyze the supply base and recommend suppliers for approval, removal, or strategic nomination.
• Conduct market research to benchmark pricing, track trends, and support cost‑control decisions.
• Develop part‑family strategies aligned with overall commodity strategies.
• Manage supplier performance regarding cost, quality, and delivery while ensuring compliance with company policies.
• Track negotiation status, maintain supplier agreements, and update cost and sourcing tools as required.
• Participate in continuous improvement, maintain professional knowledge, and perform other assigned duties.

Your Profile as Program Purchasing:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain, Economics, or a related field, with strong technical and analytical capability.
• 6+ years of professional purchasing experience, including commodity management, project purchasing, and complex negotiations with suppliers.
• Proven experience in supplier evaluation and analysis covering quality, cost, capacity, and overall performance.
• Strong knowledge of purchasing methods, negotiation techniques, cost‑improvement tools, and market understanding of assigned commodities.
• Hands‑on experience with APQP, project management tools, SAP, and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently in a fast‑paced, high‑volume environment while managing multiple projects and deadlines.
• Excellent cross‑functional communication skills, with the ability to collaborate at all organizational levels and build effective supplier relationships.
• Willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally as required.
