Principal Software Test Engineer

About the Team

This position is part of the ZF ADAS & HPC business unit known internally as "Capri." This business unit is planned for divestiture to Harman International, a Samsung company and global innovator in automotive technology, presenting a unique opportunity to be part of an exciting new chapter in the ADAS space.

What you can look forward to as Principal Software Test Engineer：

• Testing Basic Software (BSW) on SoC platform (primarily Linux/QNX), BSP, drivers, boot process, etc.
• Develop test plans, strategies, and test cases to ensure coverage of all software requirements.
• Build and maintain test environments and continuously improve the testing toolchain.
• Execution of test cases and analyze test results, and support development teams in issue resolution and verification.
• Collaborate closely with development, integration, and project management teams to ensure software quality meets project requirements.

Your Profile as Principal Software Test Engineer：

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical engineering, computer science, automotive engineering, or equivalent
• 5+ years of directly related experience in embedded software testing, familiar with Linux or QNX OS and BSP architecture.
• Experience of test environment build up with different tools
• Experience of at least one scripting language (e.g., CAPL, Python, Shell)
• Knowledge in software testing processes, methodologies, and quality assurance systems.
• Strong analysis and communication skills, capable of working efficiently in cross-functional teams.
