What you can look forward to as Parking Perception Expert:
- Analyze system and customer requirements and translate them into parking perception algorithm and software requirements.
- Develop and optimize ultrasonic signal preprocessing, filtering, echo or target processing, data association and obstacle localization.
- Develop post-processing functions such as object tracking, confidence management, obstacle classification and freespace or parking-space related outputs.
- Design and implement multi-sensor fusion algorithms utilizing ultrasonic sensors, vehicle motion information and other available sensors to improve perception robustness and accuracy.
- Develop parking environment modeling and map-building functions to generate a consistent and accurate representation of surrounding obstacles, freespace and parking infrastructure.
- Develop and optimize vehicle localization solutions based on dead reckoning (DR), environmental features and map information for low-speed parking applications.
- Define module interfaces, data flow and algorithm architecture in cooperation with system and software architecture teams.
- Build evaluation methods and KPIs, perform offline data replay, SIL/HIL verification, vehicle calibration and corner-case analysis.
- Optimize algorithm robustness for complex parking scenarios, sensor interference, vehicle attitude changes and environmental variations.
- Implement production-quality algorithms in C or C++ and/or Matlab/Simulink, considering embedded resource and real-time constraints.
- Prepare software requirements, design descriptions, test specifications and release documentation; support project integration and customer issue resolution.
Your Profile as Parking Perception Expert:
- Master's degree or above in automation, electronic engineering, robotics, computer science, automotive engineering or a related field.
- 5+ years of relevant experience in automotive perception or embedded algorithm development, with hands-on experience in low-speed parking or ultrasonic sensing.
- Solid knowledge of ultrasonic signal preprocessing and post-processing, including filtering, target extraction, data association, triangulation/localization, tracking and freespace generation.
- Proficiency in C or C++ and Matlab/Simulink; experience with embedded software implementation and algorithm optimization.
- Experience with algorithm verification, offline data analysis, SIL or HIL testing, vehicle calibration and debugging tools such as CANoe, CANalyzer, CANape or INCA.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, ownership, teamwork and clear technical communication.
- Preferred: Experience with dead reckoning (DR), vehicle localization and multi-sensor fusion. Knowledge of SLAM, map building, occupancy grid mapping or parking environment modeling. Experience with feature-based or map-based localization methods in low-speed autonomous parking scenarios. Experience with production parking functions such as APA, RPA, PDC or TBA, and familiarity with Automotive SPICE and ISO 26262.
