EDI & Process Integration Consultant

 

Position Summary

Support current trading partner (customer and supplier) relationships including monitoring, troubleshooting on productive EDI and middleware systems. Conception of new integration solutions by participating on projects and business demands. Supporting the test- and quality management system on the whole value chain of the EDI development and rollout concept. Doing technical setup on EDI communication protocol level, including the communication to the partner.

 

Role Expectations

  • Monitoring of EDI processes on EDI and ERP systems
  • Solving of technical errors
  • Identify potential issues in advance and determine, develop, test and implement resolutions.
  • Implement new EDI connections with customers and suppliers by understanding business process at plant, understanding customer requirements, understand message formats
  • Contact ZF suppliers, explain corporate EDI guidelines, answer questions from suppliers, support the incident management, supporting the test- and quality management system
  • Participate on internal IT projects
  • Participate and manage customer demands

 

Essential Skills and Experience

  • University degree in computer science or comparable
  • Good communication skills both oral and written
  • Very god English skills both oral and written
  • Ability to manage a small migration or implementation
  • Basic knowledge about XML and JSON
  • Knowledge in EDI integration with SAP as well as non-EDI integration processes
  • Attendance to work on a global team
  • Attendance to travel

 

Preferred Skills and experience:

  • 3 + years EDI experience
  • 3 + years automotive industry experience and basic knowledge in this branch about Material Management, Logistics, Purchasing, SD and Finance
  • Knowledge in EDI and process integration in SAP as well as in non-SAP environments
  • Experience in programming languages such as XSLT, Java
  • Further language skills, e.g. German, French, Spanish, etc.
