HW Application Engineer

About the Team

We are looking for a new colleague in R&D Center at our location in Shanghai.

What you can look forward to as Hardware Application Engineer:

• Interface to the customers, suppliers and other company functional teams representing engineering;
• Analyze and discuss with customers on product requirements during RFQ phase to make technical proposals to acquire new business;
• Prepare technical proposals, BOM and engineering costs to CQA team to run business case;
• Deliver the engineering assignments to meet the project timing, cost, quality target as per corporate engineering development processes;
• Deliver the engineering process document in compliance with development processes & timing as well as automotive Spice requirements; Support to complete electronics DFMEA to ensure the robustness of the design; Support to complete circuit testing and debug in a lab environment; 
• Co-ordinate and liaise the prototype builds during the development phase with the support from rest of the engineering team;
• Support the hardware engineers/software engineers in debugging, diagnosing and testing the prototypes; Be responsible for EMC test and bench test;
• Diagnose and fault-find the steering ECU during different quality events pre and post production launches in the steering ECU test rigs;
• Complete the DVP/PVP by supporting from the validation engineers;
• Support the steering system team in commissioning the entire system and provide system performance tuning support;
• Release customer drawings and documentations (BOM) as required;
• Perform any other duties and responsibilities which may be assigned on an ad hoc basis by the Engineering Manager.

Your Profile as Hardware Application Engineer:

• Bachelor or above in Electronics Engineering
• Experience: Experienced in Application Engineering role with hands-on diagnosis experience
• Good knowledge of Electrical Control Unit design;
• Technical automotive electronics knowledge desirable.
• Good time management skills and communication ability with all level of people.
• Self-motivation and good interpersonal skills.
• Good communication of English language
