About the Team
This position is part of the ZF ADAS & HPC business unit known internally as "Capri." This business unit is planned for divestiture to Harman International, a Samsung company and global innovator in automotive technology, presenting a unique opportunity to be part of an exciting new chapter in the ADAS space.
What you can look forward to as EHS Supervisor:
- Establish, implement, and continuously improve the company’s EHS and Security management system to ensure full compliance with PRC regulations and Harman/ZF standards.
- Conduct risk assessments and hazard identification independently for office and R&D environments (e.g., server rooms, labs, vehicle testing, bench testing), and drive corrective actions.
- Develop and implement EHS and Security policies, procedures, and SOPs, including emergency response plans (fire, incident handling, asset and facility protection, etc.).
- Deliver EHS and Security training programs and drills, such as lab safety, equipment safety, and fire evacuation.
- Liaise with government authorities and external stakeholders (e.g., Emergency Management Bureau, Fire Department) to ensure regulatory compliance and successful inspections.
- Manage site security operations, including access control, visitor management, CCTV systems, and protection of critical assets and facilities.
- Lead incident/accident investigations, conduct root cause analysis, and implement preventive measures.
- Support multi-site management across Shanghai and Guangzhou, ensuring consistent standards and effective coordination with landlords/property (incl. ZF office facilities).
Your Profile as EHS Supervisor:
- Bachelor's degree or above in Safety Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Occupational Health, or related fields preferred.
- Minimum 8 years of relevant EHS or corporate security experience, preferably in R&D or engineering environments.
- Strong knowledge of PRC EHS laws and regulations, including Work Safety Law, Fire Protection Law, and occupational health requirements.
- Proven ability to independently build and drive EHS and Security systems with strong execution capability.
- Hands-on experience in risk assessment, incident investigation, and emergency management.
- Familiarity with lab safety, equipment safety, and data center/IT facility safety management; experience with hazardous materials is a plus.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally with R&D, Admin, IT, and external regulators.
- Good proficiency in both Chinese and English, and willingness to support multi-site operations (Shanghai & Guangzhou).
