About the Team

We are looking for a new colleague in R&D team at our location in Jiuting, Shanghai.

 

What you can look forward to as a Customer Lead Engineer:

  • Cross-functional and global coordination: Work independently with Sales to align customer requirements and coordinate across ZF TSO, engineering product groups, and global customers.
  • Technical project and platform development leadership: Drive clarification of platform-related technical topics, lead development coordination, represent ZF engineering to customers, and manage cross-project specifications and standards.
  • Acquisition-phase technical leadership: Lead project engineers for platform component acquisitions, proactively manage technical topics, and report development status to management while supporting Sales with customer-specific technical strategies.
  • Customer engagement and technical presentations: Serve as the primary engineering contact, organize and lead technical meetings, prepare and deliver customer presentations, and maintain strong, stable customer relationships through regular status communication.
  • Innovation promotion and market insight: Identify customer pain points and market trends, promote ZF innovation products for future business opportunities, maintain visibility across linked projects, and provide on-site technical support near the customer.

 

Your Profile as a Customer Lead Engineer:

  • Degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent work experience; 5 years professional experience preferably in the automotive supplier industry
  • Know-how in the general context of chassis system and component products
  • Proven competence in dealing with customers and suppliers; Proactive and collaborative approach towards problem solving.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Good intercultural understanding as well as a willingness to travel frequently.
