This position is part of ZF’s ADAS & HPC business, which is entering an exciting new phase of growth and transformation within the advanced automotive technology space. The business unit is planned for divestiture, creating a unique opportunity to help shape the future of next-generation driver assistance and high-performance computing technologies.

What you can look forward to as Commodity Buyer - Passives & Relays：

• Manage purchasing prices for assigned commodities and suppliers, identify sourcing and bundling opportunities to achieve cost reduction targets while adhering to established sourcing processes.
• Ensure accurate pricing and sourcing information is maintained in applicable ERP systems, and track supplier negotiations, agreements, costs, and status updates.
• Prepare and support contract negotiations and sourcing activities for globally managed suppliers, taking the lead role for assigned suppliers and competitive sourcing initiatives.
• Analyze supply markets and conduct market research to identify industry trends, benchmark costs, and recommend supplier additions, removals, or nominations to strategic supplier lists.
• Develop and support commodity and part-family sourcing strategies, ensuring alignment with business objectives and total cost management initiatives.
• Manage supplier performance related to cost, quality, and delivery, and drive resolution of issues in accordance with the established escalation model.
• Identify, evaluate, and onboard optimal suppliers through effective sourcing methodologies, cost structure analysis, and compliance with company procurement policies.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, support cross-functional team objectives, and perform other duties as assigned.

Your Profile as Commodity Buyer - Passives & Relays：

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Economics, or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of purchasing or sourcing experience in electronic components, including commodity management, supplier management, and procurement-related activities.
• Experience in supplier evaluation, bidding processes, contract management, and commercial negotiations.
• Knowledge of purchasing practices, sourcing methodologies, supplier development, and project management tools (e.g., APQP).
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and cost management skills with attention to detail.
• Proficient in SAP and Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work in a global environment.
• Automotive industry experience and willingness to travel domestically and internationally are preferred.
