Application Engineering Manager China - Industrial Drives

About the Team

We are looking for a new colleague - the Application Engineering Manager China for our Industrial Drives PL at our location of Shanghai. China. 

What you can look forward to as Application Engineering Manager - Industrial Drives China:

• Responsible for managing a team of R&D functions throughout the product lifecycle, from the start of product development to maintenance in series production, especially for the mechanical topics.
• Ensure product development activities are completed according to agreed deadlines, scope, product costs, and project costs of product description (including GDPEP deliverables).
• Assure that the global product strategy is implemented in the country.
• Develop the competencies and organizational capabilities of engineering in China.

Your Profile as Application Engineering Manager - Industrial Drives China:

• 10+ years of experience in mechanical designing or related R&D environment in the automotive or off-highway industry. Has at least 3 years of experience leading the technical approach development and facing customers. 
• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related engineering background; Master of Business Administration is a plus, but not mandatory. Be fluent in English and Mandarin and be adopted in the local market. Proficiency in MS Office and general knowledge of SAP, CREO, CAE, and PLM. 
• Preferably long-term experiences in the off-highway OEM or supplier industry for powertrain or driveline products. Deep knowledge on overall product development process. Deep knowledge of R&D and design related process and activities. Knows process management, quality improvement, and automotive core tools (ISO TS 16949, APQP, FMEA, PPAP).
• Has good intercultural understanding, has strategic planning and budget definition sense. Has management experience in R&D and leadership skills. Working experience in a matrix and a global organization is a plus.
• Has the ability/willingness to travel both domestically and internationally.
