Application Design Engineer

We are looking for a new colleague of Application Design Engineer for our Division C at our location of Shanghai, ZFCN. 

Your Tasks

• Main Objectives: Support & secure state of the art customer suspension technology under specific consideration of customer requirements and standardization. 

• Handling and care on design relevant tasks in application development activities. Technical calculation of definition and fixing damper and module specific. Communicate and cooperate with application other region teams regarding standards and engineering kit. Planning, caring and executing release design solution for customer products based on customer requirements

• Create the BOM / Drawing / ECM / PPO in SAP. Create the take a part drawing and handling and caring on prototype sample manufacturing in workshop from design side. Support the teams of purchase, sales, testing services, Core, quality control, and production within specific tasks and problem issues.

• Support product specific benchmark analysis. Evaluate and prepare the design solution for RFQ and Technical Review. Support and evaluate the DFMEA for new project.

Your Profile

• Bachelor or master’s in mechanical engineering or vehicle engineering. Min. 3 years in design experience with automotive business, knowledge about passenger car requirement or automotive engineering, technical calculation, especially in chassis, knowledge in shock absorber will be preference.

• Good English listening, speaking, reading and writing ability. German/Korean/Japanese would be a big plus but not mandatory.

• Proficiency in Pro/E and MS Office software.

• Learning Agility and teamwork spirit. Ability to work in team and within an intercultural environment. Cost awareness.

• Attendance for business travel in China and abroad.
