Logistics Engineer

About the Team

You will be part of a highly collaborative logistics engineering and supply chain optimization team supporting Chassis Systems operations across North America. The department drives the development of lean logistics concepts, plant layout improvements, and supplier development initiatives. Working closely with plants, suppliers, and cross‑functional groups, the team ensures efficient material flow, optimized processes, and continuous improvement. You will join a dynamic environment with strong focus on data-driven decision making and operational excellence.

What you can look forward to as Logistics Specialist:

• Planning, coordinating, and implementing concepts for logistics, material, and information flows using lean production principles.
• Performing economic evaluations and cost optimization for logistics and supply chain projects.
• Supporting plant layout design through the use of simulation tools.
• Assisting with the planning, specification, and procurement of logistics equipment.
• Implementing logistics KPI reporting standards for all ZF Div. C sites in North America, including data collection, validation, and consolidation.
• Conducting logistics supplier development activities, including audits, action plans, and escalation management.
• Supporting logistics development and improvement initiatives, including ZFPS application across regional plants and supply chains.
• Participating in acquisition and implementation projects, including packaging analysis and development for returnable and one‑way packaging.

Your Profile as Logistics Specialist:

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
• 2–3 years of experience in logistics or project‑management‑related roles.
• Strong Excel and overall Microsoft Office skills, with experience using SAP (MM). AutoCAD knowledge is an advantage.
• Demonstrated analytical skills, including cost calculation and data management.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• JIS Delivery Model experience is a plus.
