We are looking for a new colleague in our R&D and System Solutions team for our site in Saint Hilaire de Brethmas (Alès).

 

About the DevOps Engineer role at ZF:
In the DevOps team, it is our ambition to build the most reliable, efficient, and secure solution for our customers. Automation, orchestration, and self-service are key drivers to deliver the best experience. This core layer will function as the foundation for the future of a connected mobility platform that is able to support millions of vehicles and other assets. You will work in agile way with Software Development methodologies such as Scrum/ Kanban.
In the role of DevOps Engineer, you will have the opportunity to work in the south of France with the latest technologies in order for the platform to grow as a real product.


Your tasks:

  • Be part of a DevOps team in order to maintain and develop the CI/CD, integrating the best-in-class technologies in a cost-efficient and reliable way
  • Handle infrastructure as code, contribute in making our infrastructure fully automated, simple, reliable, secure and easy to operate
  • Automate existing and future processes in the R&D team, and actively contribute to our platform in the areas of microservices architecture, API-management, observability, and developer efficiency
  • Proactively identify bottlenecks and optimize product / service performance to improve user experience
  • Support the teams with best practices and usage of our core platform stack. Train and support the DevOps team to grow their skills in DevOps practices


Your profile:

  • Computer Science degree or equivalent, and multiple years of experience working with and supporting cloud and DevOps technologies
  • Experience with tooling, configuration management and systems for building infrastructure, infrastructure automation (Terraform infrastructure as code). Knowledge of Gitlab is a plus
  • Familiar with microservices architecture and good understanding of cloud application design and approach principles (Kubernetes, API-management, observability)
  • Experience with building solutions on AWS (Amazon Web Services) cloud platform. Hands-on experience, preferable with host and cloud infrastructure. Good knowledge of the following AWS services: VPC's, Gloo Edge, Route53, EKS, S3, Cloud Watch, IAM, Lambda, DynamoDb, SQS, PostgreSQL. Good knowledge of Docker and scripting languages such as Bash, Serverless, Terraform, Helm used in DevOps life cycles
  • Passionate about technology. You like working in a team, you have a strong analytical mindset, are fluent in English, and you preferably have had a first experience in software development using .NET Core, C# and React
