ZF is looking for a Sr. Engineer - Supplier Quality for our location in Reynosa. 

The position is responsible to ensure component’s compliance to requirements during series process:

• Lessons learned / Read across management
• Document Read across and Risk Mitigation Analysis
• Concern management

1.Structured problem-solving effectiveness including root cause analysis and counter measure implementation 
2.Cost recovery management

• Revalidation management
• Audits (VDA 6.3 / Go & See)
• Escalation management
• Focus on Continuous Improvement Activities to improve supplier performance
• The position holder is a member of all ZF LIFETEC product lines, i.e., SBS, IRS, SWS, INFL

Position Responsibilities:

• Knowledge of ZF supplier management procedures and directives and main interfacing procedures and reporting systems.
• Global and local communication and working together with internal and external stakeholders and suppliers.
• Assist suppliers in systemic problem-solving including root cause analysis through implementation of robust corrective & preventive counter measures and monitoring effectiveness.
• Initiate and follow up on Read Across activities based on the lessons learned from critical supplier issues.
• Collect cost recovery related to supplier issues
  Perform Audits and follow up closure of open issues, if any: 
  1.At suppliers, with OEMs, with certification body (IATF)
  2.Yearly supplier audit planning (product and process) and maintaining audit repository
• Perform Risk Mitigation Analysis, Mistake proofing control review and address gaps.
• RFMEA Analysis to find out sleepers and initiate process improvements
  Track & report Supplier performance on key KPI and monitor progress on improvement activities. 
• Lead Supplier escalation as well as continuous improvement initiatives
  Interface with Customers on critical supplier issues as necessary
• Development / management of the quality related documentation (for ex. Incoming Inspection CP`s)
• Tight cooperation with Plant SQA, Quality and SDE department
• Regional and Global travel required

• GD&T, measurement systems, statistical basics (SPC, MSA, Capability study)
• Effective Communication, presentation, and strong negotiation skills
• Knowledge in OE and Lean production
• Skills in Process analysis, APQP, FMEA, Control plan, PPAP
• Good computer skills including MS Excel, PowerPoint, Word etc.
• Highly motivated and passionate team player to bring the positive change

Education:

• Bachelor’s Degree; 5+ years of relevant experience with Automotive processes at OEM, Tier 1 or Tier 2 supplier
