Product Engineer

We are looking for a new colleague in the Product Development department at our Saltillo Facility 

Responsibilities 

• Execute all design activities including concept work, prototype builds, component validation , calculation and design of components with Pro- Engineer and other CAD/CAM software.
• Supports investigations on deviations requested from production.
• Supports, analyzes, and recommends part and material vendors and uses analysis techniques where applicable to design.
• Analyzes and optimizes automotive components for geometry and material selection. ( GD& T and  FEA )
• Work with customers, suppliers, and internal departments such as sales, purchasing, and quality, on design issues for production and OEM applications (i.e. definition of specifications, release of deviations from technical side, etc.).
• Direct the release and maintenance of drawings and bill of material (BOMs).
• Support System and Design FMEA with engineering quality department.

Requirements:

• B.S. Mechanical  engineering preferred. 
• At least 2 years of experience
• Ability to interface with cross-functional teams and all levels of personnel/management
• Able to work independently manage multiple responsibilities (i.e. self-starter, self-motivated)
• Bilingual English - Spanish. German is a plus. 
• Ability/willingness to travel domestic or international (up to 10%)
